Christine is grew up in Michigan, and has family nearby. She introduced her husband and children to the beauty of northern MI, and they fell in love too. Living in Chicago they wanted to create a haven for our family that would enabled them to spend quality time outside the chaos of their regular life, make lasting memories as well as enjoy all seasons of Michigan.

Our favorite things

Watching the children play for hours, catching minnows and crayfish, actually enjoying each others company, sounds of laughter filling the air.

Relaxing out on the dock in an Adirondack Chair, enjoying a early evening cocktail, and watching the setting sun lighting up the sky in brilliant orange, purple and magenta. Waving to the neighbors as they take the poontoon out for an evening cruise or dinner.

Lounging in the hot tub on a chilly night, cocooned by cedar trees and twinkling lights, snowflakes falling.

Kayaking in the early morning when it's very quiet. Mist rising from the water. A lone Merganser swimming by.  The sun peaking through the trees.

Getting fresh veggies and fruit from CoveYou or visiting one of the many farmers market. Eating delicious fresh tomatoes and cucumbers at lunch or creating a wonderful dinner from fresh, seasonable food.

Enjoying all the great restaurants from Charlevoix to Harbor springs.

Taking the boat to Barrelback for dinner. 

Catching fish.

Tubing.

Walks through the forest preserves.

Camp fires and smores.

Looking at the stars with the telescope.
